Coolashade™ by Rarcoola – signature feedlot shed design

Custom Feedlot Shed Design

Coolashade is exactly as the name suggests, a“Cooler Shade”. It’s a unique and flexible design by Rarcoola that allows for solid roof shade for a variety of industries. Including from partial to full coverage of feedlot pens, machinery storage, gravel/sand pile coverage and even covered outdoor learning areas in schools.

The Coolashade provides a full or partial shade solution that can be constructed on site and will have many benefits that out way the construction of a typical truss, purlin and iron type structure.

Some of the benefits of this solution are:

  • Design flexibility on sloping sites.
  • Large spans with minimal supporting columns required.
  • Light panels can be added into roof area at any intervals.
  • Additional ventilation can be allowed for within the roof structure.
  • Shorter design timeframes.
  • Shorter fabrication times.
  • Speed of onsite construction.
  • Better ability to source materials.
  • Reduced transportation costs of materials to site.
  • Warranty periods of supplier materials.
  • Cost effective per m² of shade as compared to a typical truss, purlin and iron system.
  • Roofing and gutters are rolled on site and only sourced from one supplier.
  • Construction efficiency meaning minimal time on site.

Coolashade™ can increase your returns

Some of the benefits of Coolashade™ over traditional structures in feedlots:

  • Less design constraints on a sloping site, especially for feedlots.
  • Stormwater would be captured from the roof on two sides of the structure, reducing additional cost to move the storm water away from pens.
  • Cost effectiveness of this system.
  • Being a partial shade structure, there is no requirement for a central light and ventilation tunnel.
  • No time to construct onsite.
  • Partial shade also means the structure would not require internal columns in pens.
  • Materials and products do not need to be sourced from multiple suppliers and would mean cold roll formers would not continually reach capacity and will not delay consistent supply of material to site.
  • Circa 6 rotating pens would not need to be clear during construction.

Some of the benefits of Coolashade over traditional structures in General Shade:

  • Clear spans allowing for wider machinery storage.
  • Flexibility and clearance for School COLA’s.
  • Greater coverage area with minimal columns over sand/gravel piles.
  • Ease of stormwater collection with all stormwater to one area.
  • Easy to work in to architecturally designed projects.

The Coolashade is designed, fabricated and constructed by Rarcoola and will revolutionise fixed roof shade in a multiple of industries.
